Update on the events the past few weeks

We meet Robert and his family in Red Bluff.  Ninnette was visiting from St. Kitts, Anya from Long Beach and Micaela from Rock Springs, Wyoming.  It was great to see them again.

Abbey loves the patio

our bedroom is starting to look more finished. 

We added hanging sculptures on the copper wall that we purchased at the North Country Fair.

Now I will try to show you some pictures of the projects we have been doing on the house

Gary did the trim around the living room doorway.  It makes the opening look so much better. 

The wall is no longer blue!!  We now have a copper color or rust color wall in the kitchen. 
Excuse the mess on the desk since it still has painting items on it.

I painted the bathroom downstairs but the color does not show up very well. It is NOT gray it is a taupe brown color.

Surprise Birthday and More

My first surprise came from my husband when he gave me a card on Thursday morning telling me to pack my bags for 2 nights.  He didn't tell me where we were going.  Well my next surprise was at the office when they told me my schedule had fake patients in the rest of the afternoon and I was leaving work at 3:00.  The staff was in on the surprise getaway.   So we headed out of Mckinleyville and we drove north till we got to Gold Beach and we stayed at Ireland's Rustic Lodge for 2 nights.  It was beautifulweather except it was windy.   

This is our room at Ireland's.  I was talking on the phone to my daughters who I thought were in their homes but that was not true which is what I found out later.

On our drive back home we stopped along the way and took pictures of the Oregon Coast line.  It was beautiful.  Little did I know that another surprise was  waitng for me when we got home.  My daughters had arranged a surprise birthday party for me.  I was VERY surprised.  It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed a great birthday thanks to my husband and daughters.

Susan, Adam and Anne surprised me on my birthday.  We went to lunch at the Seascape Restaurant  and then we walked to the beach below so Adam could play in the sand and check out the neat creatures in the rocks.

Adam is deciding whether he likes the sand or not.  It was a  wonderful birthday.  It was the BEST!!!  especially since I had my daughters and grandson to help me celebrate with my husband.
